Thai people are known as an agreeable bunch, a culture rooted in hospitality and famous for avoiding conflict. Wander the island and you'll overhear a flock of locals say, “Up to you,” like the friendly twitter of island birds.

“Want to relax on the beach or go snorkeling?” Up to you. “Want spicy prawns or chicken for dinner?” Up to you. So imagine what happened when a Thai businessman approached a local brewmaster about crafting a premium brew for island tourists in search of quality beer...

Paradise found

Long stretches of white sand meet sparkling blue water. Exotic birds perch under a green canopy, watching water buffalo meander through the creeks in the tropical jungle. Elephants trod well-worn paths through the mountains overlooking rice fields and palm trees. Just another Phuket day.

Pure and natural like its island namesake, Phuket Beer doesn't add sugar, preservatives, or anything else that shouldn't be in a premium beer. Following timetested German beer standards for purity, we brew using all natural ingredients, including high-quality hops imported from Germany and our signature “secret” ingredient indigenous to Thailand. (It's jasmine rice - shh.)

The result is a light and crisp refreshing lager with a flowery hint across the palate from first sip to last drop – the perfect complement to your favorite spicy meal.

Birds of a feather

The hornbill bird is a protected species in Thailand, revered as a symbol of purity, fertility, and loyalty. We chose the hornbill Phi Phi as our mascot to represent our commitment to brewing pure, quality beer.

A bird of discriminate tastes, the hornbill waits until fruit fully ripens before swooping in for a bite. We let our beer mature through its natural 28-day lager cycle and bottle it at optimal freshness. All Phuket Beer is brewed to order, not for inventory.

With a passion for quality, it's no coincidence Phuket Beer won three consecutive gold medals at the prestigious Monde Selection awards, the only gold medal ever won by a Thai beer at this competition.
